About EmpowerPath

EmpowerPath exists to help growing service businesses fix what isn’t working and make the business easier to run.

EmpowerPath is led by me, Richard Kotulecki, and I work directly with business owners and leadership teams to do that work.

Most of the people I work with are capable, committed owners and leaders. They haven’t lost control, but things have become harder than they should be. Problems repeat. Decisions slow down. Too much depends on the same few people stepping in to keep things moving.

My role is to help make sense of what’s really going on and fix the causes, not just the symptoms.

The situations I’m usually brought into

I’m typically asked to help when a business is stuck in one or more of these patterns:

  • The same issues keep coming back, despite previous attempts to fix them
  • Customer experience is inconsistent, and complaints or friction are increasing
  • Decision-making has become slow or unclear
  • The business relies too heavily on the owner to resolve problems
  • Growth has added complexity, but nothing has been properly realigned

These situations rarely need more effort. They need clearer understanding and better decisions in the right places.

Experience that makes a difference

I’ve spent more than 20 years leading, fixing, and supporting organisations under pressure.

That includes stepping into senior leadership roles, leading turnarounds, and working alongside owners and leadership teams to stabilise and rebuild businesses that were struggling to function as they should.

The common thread in that work is not sector or size. It’s the ability to see past surface symptoms, identify what is really causing the problems, and help people fix them in a way that holds.

How I work with businesses

I work directly with the people already in the business. Not around them.

The starting point is always understanding what customers are actually experiencing and how work really flows day to day. From there, the focus is on removing what’s getting in the way. That may involve changing how decisions are made, how responsibilities are set, or how leadership time is used.

Depending on the situation, I may step into a leadership role or work alongside the owner while changes are put into practice. Either way, the aim is the same: clarity, fewer recurring problems, and a business that runs more smoothly without constant intervention.

There are no off-the-shelf solutions. The work is practical, grounded, and shaped by what the business actually needs.

Why EmpowerPath exists

EmpowerPath was set up to provide the kind of support that many businesses need but rarely get.

Not advice from a distance. Not reports that sit on shelves. But clear thinking, practical help, and the experience to fix real problems properly.

That’s the work, and that’s the standard.
